How to Find New Employees Who Stay

One of the main challenges employers face is turnover. Employees leave all the time, moving onto new opportunities. It is very much a job market where this is expected – people tend not to stay in jobs for more than a couple of years, which is a new trend amongst younger people, in general. If you are looking for new ways to keep employee retention up, here are some ideas:

  • Incentives. Reward good work and employee loyalty with decent incentives – and don’t expect people to work too hard when they are at their incentives, either. They are meant to be fun.
  • One to ones. Give your employees a platform to be heard. Make sure they can talk openly and honestly about how they are, and any challenges they might be facing.
  • Give pay rises. You might like to think that people come to work for you because they love what they do. They might – but they also expect to be paid well for it. Make sure you give fair pay rises if you expect to keep employees.
